Sandals with socks have been the biggest fashion no-no for longer than anyone can remember, but apparently, they're now the hottest thing since sliced bread. At least that's what you might think if you took runway fashion a little too literally.
Many designers, including Elie Saab (above) have featured the forbidden look in their shows, and the style is threatening to spill out on to our streets. Some may be pleased to hear this news: not everyone likes the feeling of leather against bare skin after all. But others may fear the crimes against fashion that may soon be going unchecked.
This one's less of an obvious bargain than the £10 heels, but with a 60% reduction, these lovely summer sandals from Pedro Garcia are a fantastic buy. They're very much this season's style, with thick straps, exposed platforms and cork wedges. But they've decided to go and knock down the price anyway.
I'm quite partial to the white version of this shoe, which has a bleached out summery feel to it that's seriously cool. The black would make awesome summer evening wear. Most of all, you can tell how well designed and put together these shoes are - which is of huge importance in strappy summer heels.
There's something very 'Alice in Wonderland' about these stripy-heeled pumps from Fendi, which makes them particularly hot stuff right now. We think they're cool bananas whenever you want to wear them though, and the gold monogram on the heel is just lovely. What a great way to dress up an otherwise ordinary pair of patent pumps!
We try to keep Shoewawa an Ugg-free zone on the whole, since Ms Shoewawa is categorically Not A Fan. But if you're going to wear the things, at least wearing the real McCoy is generally advisable: the fake ones are pretty easy to spot, and take naffness to a whole new level.
But now, it seems, not only do these imitation shoes look naff, they're bad for your feet, too. 'Medical experts' have claimed that the knock-off versions are 'literally breaking' women's feet, due to the shoddy workmanship and cheap materials used to make the popular shoes.
Do you agree with this judgement, or is it a little alarmist? Do you have a pair of fake Uggs that have done you proud, or have you suffered an injury?
Pink, block heels aren't to everybody's taste, but they're certainly in style and will bring substance and colour to your outfit if you're bold enough to wear them.
These fun 'Luna' court shoes from Schuh have been reduced from £59 to a tenner, so if you thought the chunky stems look seemed kind of cool (and comfy!) but were afraid to invest too heavily in it, now's your chance to experiment! Block colour is one of the summer's key trends, so you won't go far wrong.
Magazine Machine drew my attention to these tie-dye boots from Opening Ceremony today, and I couldn't help but share them here with my fellow shoe-gazers. There's something inherently lovely about them, and today's warm weather has made the whole concept of wearing peep-toes more of a reality, tempting me to go out and furnish my wardrobe with something cool, spring-like and a little different.
It's the delicate tie-dye print that really makes these shoes, even though their shape is pretty special too. I love the watercolour-like shades, the gentle blotting and the irregular pattern covering each shoe.
Spring may be here, but don't forget we'll soon be in for a month of April showers. There's nothing quite like a smart pair of designer wellies to make one look forward to the rain, so check out these lovely Orla Kiely signature print wellies we spotted, looking to go for a good price over on Ebay.
One lucky size 8-footed lady will be able to 'splash out' (but hopefully not too much) on these lovely boots, which will bring brightness and cheer to any weatherproof outfit - and we all know they can be terribly unflattering.
