Absolutely. I’ve been using them for a while now and I’ve noticed a big difference. They help to align your toes and reduce the pressure on your bunion.
Don’t worry, girl. There are procedures to get rid of bunions. You can consult with a podiatrist and they can recommend the right treatment for you. Also, wearing bunion corrector splints can really help.
You look butch enough to pull off trainers.
Only pretty girls can wear heels or ballet flats & look cute.
You my dear are definatly not one of them.
AND i agree with the way they make you walk. i hate them.
I totally agree with this post!! i hate spending money on running shoes. they are only for the gym/working out. i couldnt imagine wearing them anywhere else. how could you ever put together and outfit, then look at a pair of trainers and think “these match!”?!?
Um, well, thanks for that thought, Jemma! Trainers aren’t the only flat/supportive shoes in the world, though, so hopefully I’ll avoid leg surgery, even although I don’t often wear them!
I work for Nike, so everyday i have to be creative on how to mix cute sneakers with skirts/dresses/outfits. I’m making it work, but have heard the whole, “You look like Lily Allen!” a few times now.
Perhaps your achilles heel tendon will shorten from wearing too many pretty shoes, and you’ll need leg surgery. Those trainers will be waiting.
Puma has some really nice designs and the higher ranges come with all kind of technologies for anti-sweat, comfort, etc (i can tell! most of my trainers are Puma). anything to do with beautiful, stylish shoes but i’m sure you can find something not-so-nasty to your eyes there. if you ever take the moment to look at, that is… 🙂
The problem here is that for the most part, women’s fashion communicates with other women. There’s a clear divide between the kind of fashion used for communicating with other women and the kind used for communicating with men (hint: find the key in FHM). This is well-established, I believe.
All one needs to do is look at Marni: spectacularly designed “serious” shoes women covet, yet most men find ugly.
However, I think some shoes, like those made by Dolce Gabbana or certain Louboutins, communicate clearly to both genders.
